Building project Berlin Museum with department Jewish Museum
Letter of recommendation
Already in the pre-planning phase of the Berlin Museum with the Jewish Museum department, we received detailed and comprehensive advice from Mr. Theo Schröders, Gerhard-Welter-Str. 7, D-41812 Erkelenz concerning the fire protection closures.
Thanks to this cooperation, which already started early-on, we were able to integrate the required fire protection closures into the building in an aesthetical manner. Mr. Schröders was always open to our special requests and was successful at implementing these into realisable fire protection closures.
As an example for the problems that occurred during building, reference is to be made to the integrated sliding door elements mounted into the outer walls, the automatically opening cover profiles mounted into the wall and the adjustment of the doors to fit into the inclining level of the basement, which was achieved by cutting the bottom at an angle or with the help of a top sliding door rolling system.
These and other problems needed special solutions, all of which were provided by Mr. Schröders, the relevant official inspection authorities and the building supervisory board, which provided officially confirmed consent in individual cases.
Furthermore Mr. Schröders also advised the manufacturing company regarding the construction of the fire protection closures, in addition to supervising the installation of the doors.
Thanks to the cooperation with Mr. Schröders, all the problems regarding the fire protection closures, which occurred in the implementation phase of this complex building. The resulting jobs were carried out by all participants to our fullest satisfaction.
